Outlander PHEV Official Color Options

The 2018 Outlander PHEV will be available in 6 different colors from factory. Interesting that they wouldn't offer a plug in electric in blue.

Ruby Black Pearl

Rally Red Metallic

Quartz Brown Metallic

Mercury Gray Metallic

Diamond White Pearl

Alloy Silver Metallic

Maybe I'm just boring, but it'll have to be either black or white for me. They're better colors for hiding future dents/scratches along with dirt.
Was expecting at least a blue option even if it doesn't scream electric vehicle.

I know that they had a blue option on older Outlander models, but I guess it wasn't popular enough to offer on the PHEV. Im partial to the Mercury Gray and Alloy Silver options.

From what i noticed is that over the years as car makers come out with models that launch as an EV, PHEV and so on, that all the traits of it looking like a green vehicle are there. However upfitted models like this take a different route. They target buyers that want a "normal" looking vehicle but a reduced carbon footprint. The new Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is a good example of that with most of its color options.

Looking normal is fine, but at least give us a few more paint options like dark blue or various shades of black and white. Matte is nice, but I doubt we'll ever see those offered. Thus the usual white, though the brown is growing on me.

Yeah, 4 of the 6 color options are different shades of white and black. I get what you're saying that not everyone wants their EV to be immediately recognized, but it wouldn't hurt for Mitsubishi to alter the current color schemes. I guess its been selling well enough, that they probably wont see a need to make any changes.

Just a bit bland IMO, won't prevent me from getting one but I'll have to decide which shade of the same few colors I'll be getting. Think they'll offer more options later down the road?

bland might be good depending on what the majority of Mitsu's buyer demographic is like and quite frankly they aren't the youngest from what I've seen.

One would think that the first color choice for an EV/hybrid would be blue. My guess is that they will make changes with each new generation, depending on the sales of a given color.

That largely depends on how the vehicle is portrayed.
Audi for example doesn't do that, instead the color options are very similar to non-EV/Hybrid/etc. Audi's.
Most everyone will be influenced by what they see in the automakers marketing materials anyways.
